Belief… what a powerful word! Most of us have an idea of its meaning, but do we really know what belief is and what power it holds over our life experience?
Gandhi said,
“Believing is Seeing. We see the world not as IT is, but as WE are.”
What we believe about our own self-image has an incredible impact on what we can achieve and become.
You might have heard of Roger Banister. He became famous after breaking the limit of running the 4-minute mile. For centuries, scientists believed that it was impossible for a human to run a mile in under 4 minutes. But in 1954, Banister believed it was possible – and did it. Once this happened, a new paradigm emerged. 37 other runners went on to break the same record in that same year!
What this tells us is that we are only limited by our ability and willingness to believe that IT is possible…whatever IT is.
The author Richard Bach put it this way,
“You’re never given a dream without also being given the power to make it come true.”
So today, accept the invitation to try on a bigger believing…in yourself and in what you believe is possible for your life…and be amazed at the changes you will experience!
