From The Desk Of Patricia

Spring Forward with Patricia

In working with clients over the last 2 decades, I have found that clutter in our lives can create cluttered minds.

In fact, a cluttered mind can create a cluttered life.

When there is any kind of clutter in our space or our lives, it actually creates a “leak of energy” in our spirit.

The result?

There is a lack of energy and focus, feeling drained, confusion and even a “squirrel” mentality (also known as the “shiny object syndrome”).

What I have seen for myself personally, and in working with client after client, is that the simple exercise below provides a boost in energy

and vitality, greater focus and you guessed it, HAPPINESS!

Scientifically speaking, cleaned spaces reduce stress and even increase productivity.

In a recent article by Mike Hanshi – Here is Why Decluttering Will Make you Happier,

his research shows that clean homes and organized spaces are proven to reduce stress, improve happiness, and even improve your eating and exercise habits.

“While messy homes and messy office spaces can seem harmless, these studies are proving that a disorganized space causes stress, which can amplify the stress

by work, life, personal issues, and even driving home from work.”

In further research, Mike found a study that correlated reducing clutter with increased productivity at home and in the workplace by Eva Selhub, M.D., author of Your Health

Destiny: How to Unlock Your Natural Ability to Overcome Illness, Feel Better, and Live Longer who integrates cleaning and organization in a large portion of her book.
